David Van Burgel & Kathy Scott

We divide the Internet connections, David usually being the one who reads and posts on the List, Kathy lurking here. David has been making rods for about 15 years, giving Kathy his first. Kathy, on the other hand, wrote about rodmaking, rodmakers, gatherings and the like, then finally picked up a plane. We live at the edge of the Great North Woods in Maine, and teach the rodmaking class for the Catskills Fly Fishing Center and Museum with Art Port every June. SuperBoo is our February information and education event here in Maine, and we try to attend as many gatherings as time will allow. We're all about the democracy of rodmaking, the great sharing that characterizes this Age of Rodmaking. It's especially nice when it goes hand in hand with the conservation projects so dear to us. David just completed a rod in collaboration with Hoagy Carmichael as a fundraiser for the removal of dams on the Penobscot River. -- David P. Van Burgel and Kathy J. Scott
