i am Richard Westerfield if the English didn't mess with my name in the 1600 it now be" dirk lubberts" but that is another story i am 66 years young i got started trying to build a bamboo rod about 12 years ago had got en to the planing stage when a had a stroke haven't done any work on bamboo till this year when i started on a node less rod when i found out the jig i was using was off by an 1/8 had to stop going to try again with a new jig in the mean time i am making a bras fly reel i should have it done by next week my likes are bamboo rod. history of bamboo rod and there makers .genealogy . drag racing fuel funny cars . i have a Friend Jim head he has a funny car and i hang with him two times a year. i all so like jigs and gadgets i have the smallest work shop you ever seen its under the stair case of my apartment i call the harry potter work shop, i live with sister Patty "Puggie"Westerfield she has always been a helping hand she helps me in the shop some times i cant get her to build a fly rod or to go fishing with me but that's OK . i look forward to the Catskill meet every year i go this year i did not go due to a pacemaker having put in me i would like to thank every one that signed the nice card you es sent me if i can be of any help to any one please get in torch with me. i am planing to bring something to the catskills this year cant say what is have to put it togeter frist but i think you will be interested see you there i hope richard and patty westerfield
